The Time Monster with Three and Delgado!Master. It's on the youtube if you can get your bandwidth figured out *hugs* Okay, so it has NO PLOT to speak of, but it does have: random hijenks, Atlantis, mangled Greek myths, the daisiest-daisy monologue (which is one of the greatest speeches in the whole fandom I think, right up there with 'one day I will come back' and 'do I have the right?'), crazy time travel mind-warping stuff, Benton being adorable, the Brig being adorable, a monster which is basically a dude in a sheet suspended from obvious wires and making funny noises (it's awesomeness), the original Master at his finest interacting with Three (those two are the best pair-off ying-yang thing ever, and they really are friends... 'best enemies' Three says ), and it has the ONLY classic possible reference to that crazy drum problem of the Masters. And did I mention it's just plain awesome??? Actually, Delgado!Master is made of such awesome win in every episode he was in. I must go watch some more of him once I finish my final paper *nods* For the other Master dude - actor name isn't coming to me - the one in Nyssa's dad's body - he rocks in Survival (which is on DVD) Mondo-Creepio!!! For general random and creepy watch The Deadly Assassin. That whole episode is an acid trip (but of the best kind)

I quite enjoyed the Claws of Axos...
You're looking for Ainley!Master, Clocket. Agreed on Survival.
TVM! xD Right, so Roberts!Master isn't exactly everyone's favourite, but there's Eight!
Definitely Deadly Assassin, but for Four, not the Master. xD

I still think the best Master story is the audio The Master with SM as the Doctor and I think it was Ainley as the Master.
No other has ever put the Master in perspective like that one.
However, if we're simply looking at TV episodes, I'd suggest the episode The Deadly Assassin.

When I got to the end, I was trying to figure out what route the story had taken. I gave up.

Alright, now I have to say that I obviously don't have any idea how people here are defining the word "plot". I have a feeling that if I were to find out, it would be some very restrictive rule that I wouldn't agree with.
Time Monster doesn't seem to be popular. The bird looks silly, and why is it a bird at all? The ending alone makes it one of the best, despite earlier problems. The Doctor-Master interaction is great, the old implied history, the rivalry, the Time Lord practical jokes, the bitterness....the best example of how the Master is made to look like a cardboard villain, on the outside, but is much more, underneath. Obviously that ending is one that RTD had firmly in his mind when writing Last of the Time Lords (that was him, right? The credits may be cut off on my tape).
Benton tricks the Master... that's good too. All of Atlantis is cool. "Curses, foiled again!" I love that.

If it isn't too late to plug a Master ep, may I put in my two cents for "The Sea Devils"? I dearly love Delgado in this one, and it has other fab moments like the little sword duel between the Doctor and Master in the prison.

Good point. Sea Devils is definitely one of my favourite Three stories, and on of the few stories I've actually been able to track down on DVD. The scene with the Master watching the Clangers is CLASSIC
Telly Tubbies stand asside..

The Sea Devils is good but I think the best episode with the Master is The Frontier in Space. It's proboly one of my favorite episodes of Three next to Curse of Peledon. And Delgado is the best master out of the lot.

I first thought 'The Five Doctors'. But now I've just started watching Terror of the Autons, and my opinion is liable to change.
