Only big hats though. They have to be big enough to go over and counter his massive hair.

He even makes "fezzes are cool" slightly true! It's not massive just slightly puffy!

Slightly? My friend's cheeks were "Slightly Puffy" after she had all of her wisdom teeth out at one last summer. Matt Smith's hair is massive.

Damn, but I want to see this trailer. I watch the Doctor Who marathon on Space the other day and do you think they showed it once? Nope. But they still had that obnoxious American style credits with Amy voicing over how the show is really about her (?!?) and some very dubious editing (also, constant warnings that the show was violent and required parental supervision, lol what?)
I want to hear the music! I love Who music! And I want to see the SPACE DINOSAURS! Are the SFX up to Invasion standards? Are they scientifically accurate dinosaurs? Is this something I'll be able to show my paleontologist friends without shame? ...I think I'll be very happy just with SPACE DINOSAURS! whatever happens, and SPACE FLYING REPTILES! Which doesn't have the best ring... oh well...
As a side note, series 6 is far less annoying on rewatch.

The Unexpected Clocketpatch puts in an appearance...unexpectedly! ;D I find the re-watch thing to be true of NuWho in general, tbh. Took me about two years to really warm to Nine, as I remember it. Depends what you mean by * scientifically accurate - there are what strongly appear to be...dromaeosaurs without feathers! Which is wrong, just wrong. I blame Spielberg. ;D And you're absolutely right to point out that pterodactyls (or pterosaurs, to use the correct term) are no more dinosaurs than, say, crocodiles are. Birds, on the other hand... I think I prefer the old Three-era dinosaur SFX, tbh. ;D* A bit more about the S7 opening episode (although the article isn't really as spoiler-free as the headline claims): www.guardian.co.uk/tv-and-radio/tvandradioblog/2012/aug/15/doctor-who-asylum-of-the-daleksLooks like the premier date is probably - probably - going to be Saturday Septermber 1 here in the UK. None of the people posting on that comments thread are me, btw, in spite of one of them expressing an opinion that is, more or less verbatim, something I have said more than once here and in other places.

Depends on which "invasion" you mean. They're not great... At least the bits with the dinosaurs... The explosions leave nothing to be desired however! ^^ I absolutely despise the Amy-narrated opening. It makes me want to throttle Karen Gillian more than usual. The people I was watching the last season with wouldn't let me skip over them either. *grrrrrr* I'd just finally warmed up to the season five opening, which I didn't care for originally. Much agreement about the re-watch value of NuWho. Lots of ep's I didn't particularly care for after the first watch are much cooler the second time through, such as The Girl in the Fireplace. I really didn't want to see it again, but then I watched it anyway with my dad and it was actually quite entertaining.

I reckon season 6 is better on rewatch because you don't get SO BLOODY FRUSTRATED at Moffat for giving us all these cliffhangers and then making us wait A WEEK to see the conclusion because you already know what it is (p.s. I know I'm ranting) but i disagree about the rest of nuWho

Yeah, the first half of season six is one of the only experiences I've ever had with a television program actually making me feel properly anxious. Given, it may also be one of the only programs I've ever watched on a normal release schedule and had to wait for.

You know what the terrible, yet logical, consequence of the only-get-better-on-rewatches thing is, though, don't you? In about five years from now, if I don't resist...resist temptation and never watch it again, I'm going to be going around telling people how good Journey's End is, aren't I?

Ummm... I hope not JJ. I really hope not. The End of Time still makes significantly more reasonable sense in my head than that three parter.

That would be devestating! But I reckon I'd be around telling people how good partners in crime is and how cute the Adipose are, so you won't be alone!

Aww, Adipose are lovely. Wee murderous little thingies that they are... I think, for me, it's a toss-up between Journey's End and End of Time too for Worstest NuWho Story of Them All. I mean, there are probably objectively worse episodes in S2 somewhere (hands down my least favourite season of NuWho), but those two were worse than bad - they had promise, they started intriguingly and even continued intriguingly for an episode or so...and then laughed at all your hopes and dreams and aspirations as they plummetted into unalloyed badness in their final acts... In my opinion, as always. It does indeed take all sorts. If you do, I'll have the divorce papers ready! That's how rumours get started! ;D

I disagree about the End of time. It was horrid, but it wasn't bad as such. I think dalek was the the worst nuWho story. Aww, Adipose are lovely. Wee murderous little thingies the Adipose weren't murderous!' it was miss foster that was murderous!

Yes, they were just babies! Don't blame the sins of the parents on the children! Despite the utter insanity of it all, I rather have a soft spot in my heart for The End of Time. The plot has a certain twisted time-whymy ness that comes from stitching together random parts of plots from several seasons, Timothy Dalton is rather epic (the little crinkle his eyes do when he smiles evilly always cheers me up XD ) and it has copious amounts of Doctor Whump. In many departments I couldn't ask for more. It's not perfect, and there are some seriously iffy things about all of it, (and the narration at the beginning probably kills it most for me) but for the sheer scale they went for with it, I'd probably still give it four stars.

Nah. It's rubbish. ;D (You understand of course, if I rewatch it a couple of times I'll be saying it's the best one ever or something. It's my way.) Dalton was a class act, though. Just what you'd expect from the best James Bond ever - he should have had a bigger/less underwritten part, though. As much as I've warmed to Simm!Master over the years (yeah, rewatches again), I think Dalton should have been the main antagonist of the story really. Another trailer, a very short one for the opening episode of the new season. Extremely spoileriffic, if you ask me: www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=iMKZYnkFwmwThoughts: * Save the Daleks?!
And...that's Dalek Caan in the background there, isn't it? Exxxccellent... ;D*

What's with the regenerate\exterminate instead of exalt/smite? I love the trailer!

What's with the regenerate\exterminate instead of exalt/smite? It's much more topical.
