Picard seems to have handed the Ent-D over to Rory, Amy, and the Dr... well, I guess it's such advanced technology that the ship basically runs itself anyway. Doctor: "Sorry everybody out there, my friend Rory here seems to keep launching the photon torpedoes by accident. Ah! See what I mean, there goes another one... I think that was what we could call a very near miss! Well, I'm sure we'll run out eventually, and we can all relax. Again, sorry. Captain Picard will explain everything later."

Q is basically an Eternal... The Doc and him are Not going to get along...pity.

Yes, Magnus, I'm sort of thinking...not a good move, Picard. Accident waiting to happen... Now, Kirk vs the Doctor (and it might very well end up versus) - that would be interesting. In the possibly-apocryphal Chinese proverb sense.
Maybe Q is an Eternal...although without that creepiness Mr Marriner and co seemed to have in abundance. He's more like Captain Wrack (could see him dressing up as a pirate).
I don't know about Who enemies, really - I think some of the real Whoniverse heavy-hitters (Sontarans, Daleks etc) would make mincemeat of Starfleet. But then again, that's what the Doctor's for.

Wait, Eternals? -is confuzzled- Classic that I haven't seen, i'm guessing?

The Eternals are in a couple of classic who episodes, but the one's we're talking about specifically are from the Five episode "Enlightenment" which I have already recommended to you Although like I said, you probably want a handle on who Turlough is before you tackle it, although we could probably provide that information fairly succinctly if you like. Maybe Q is an Eternal...although without that creepiness Mr Marriner and co seemed to have in abundance. He's more like Captain Wrack (could see him dressing up as a pirate). JJ, I could see Q Cross-dressing up as Captain Wrack! XD Me and a couple of my friends spent this morning discussing how much I really want to see Picard and Riker on the Bridge fighting a fleet of Daleks. And also how terrifying it would be if the Borg show up and start assimilating DW enemies. The Borg and the Cybermen would totally cross assimilate/upgrade. And god we're all screwed if the Borg assimilate Daleks. (although then again, it could be another schizophrenic conflict for the Daleks that would go crazy for being no longer pure Dalek....) Also, Data and the Doctor are gonna KICK BUTT together... Also with Jordi probably...

Ohhh...Geordi is gonna go crazy with the TARDIS! Q is gonna argue with the Doctor, and Picard is going to be the long-suffering adult....yeah, anyone else see that?

Oh definitely!
Riker's gonna be edgy because the ladies are all gonna swoon at the Doctor's brilliance, and Data's probably going to get fawned over by the doctor And the TARDIS and be naively flattered! My bet's are Troy get's her head blasted off accidentally when the Doctor has a momentary lapse and thinks about the time war, that and/or his general angst makes her run off to her office and curl up in a corner.
Speaking of which, who's read Peter David's book "Q Squared"? It is the best thing ever.

Have you read "I, Q"? I've not read this "Q Continuum Trilogy".... I have Q in law as both a novel and as an audio cassette with John De Lancie and Majel Barrett, it's awesome, but not as awesome as Q Squared. I actually also have Q Squared on cassette read by John De Lancie, but it's confusing as hell and I eventually found out when I got hold of the book- Abridged. Tragically so in fact. It's completely missing most of the trouble Q goes through trying to be a decent guardian, including the day care scene and Q's visit to Councilor Troy. It also doesn't have the convenient headers the book does when they jump time tracks... which get's crazy as you can imagine... Also I was real smart and started with cassette two instead of one because they were in the wrong cases when I got them. XD I got to the end of the story and was like "What the heck is on the other tape if that's the end!?" I do dearly love that book though, now that I've read it. ^^

Yes, I've read I,Q. It was good...the first book of the trilogy is called Q-Space if you want to look for it.

I'm now reading it... It's a little bit rubbish... Compared to the Peter David books at the very least... but that is a rather high standard. I'm about 2/3 to 3/4 of the way through and I still can't get over the feeling that I'm reading a mediocre fanfic and that the Author just started writing this string of scenes without any actual direction for the plot in mind... I also have to agree with one of the reviews of it I read earlier before reading which pointed out that the book's greatest weakness is probably the fact that it sort of fails to develop an actual protagonist.

John De Lancie was also one of the best things about Torchwood: Miracle Day (which nobody has yet convinced me to stop liking ;D). Although most of his really funny lines are unrepeatable on a family forum. And Nana Visitor out of DS9 was in it too.
I'm thinking some of the ideas above are probably better than what we might get in the actual comic. Dalek/Borg!Dalek race war, Troi having to stay away from the Doctor for her own safety etc. And Q showing up in a pirate ship...in SPAAACE...

Is it weird that as soon as I read that, JJ, I could immediately picture that scene in my mind?
Picard is probably going to get mad at the Doctor for his....antics.....to put it nicely, lol. He'll probably be even less happy when someone tracks the Doctor down (we all know it's going to happen)...has anyone thought about what the Cybermen and the Borg together might be like? I actually think that they'd get along pretty well..they'd just join together into one race, lol.

Yeah, I that's pretty much what I thought about the Borg and the cybermen Cadet. And no, it's not bad that you can see that, both the fandoms are just like that wen you know well enough. There are actually surprisingly few Star Trek X DW crossover fanfics, I think because everyone can already see so clearly in their head exactly how that would go down. XD
Saddly, I've also been thinking along those same lines JJ. It's probably much better than what we're actuallly going to get.

I actually have a crossover posted on fanfiction.net, but haven't ever gotten around to putting it on my Teaspoon account as well. My penname on there is SCGAThrawn if you want to look at it. I haven't updated in about five months, though.

Ah, well that was a very interesting beginning. Poor Q, hiding in the corner... I've actually read a couple of your stories before and enjoyed them. ^^

Yes, the face-off between Q and the Doctor would be very interesting indeed. You suspect that they might each know more about the other than the other would be comfortable having blurted out in front of the Enterprise bridge crew, or indeed any companions who might be on the scene...
Yes - maybe that could be the threat - the Cybermen and Borg combine and mutate and suddenly become this all-conquering galaxy-consuming threat that only the Doctor and Starfleet working together can stop?
Okay, the Borg were like that already (poor old Cybermen, not in the same league), but when they've added their distinctiveness to their own, as the catchphrase goes, maybe it makes them worse?
I sort of see the Doctor and Counsellor Troi going down a bit like this:
It came instantly, without warning. One moment, the strangely-dressed young man was smiling at her quizzically; the next, Deanna was on her hands and knees, eyes screwed shut, fingernails buried in the bridge carpeting. It hit her like a tsunami, an explosion, a jackhammer to the hindbrain. A deluge of sadness, despair and guilt, a flood of the purest emotional pain she had ever felt, washed over her.
"Counsellor...?" she heard the Captain call out.
"Deanna!" That was Will. She felt a strong hand gripping her arm, hauling her upright. She collapsed helplessly into her chair. She could hear herself screaming.
When the pain ceased, it was nearly as sudden and shocking as when it started. Deanna gasped for breath, the strangest feeling of numbness dominating her mind. When she could see again, it was to see the young man's strangely-shaped face an inch in front of her own.
"What did you do to her?" Picard tersely demanded.
"Sorry about that," the young man murmured, a little sheepishly. "Betazoid?" he asked Deanna.
"Half," she stammered. "M-my mother..."
"Just as well. I might have killed a full Betazoid. My deepest...apologies..." He pressed a hand to her forehead, his skin strangely cold and damp, and then pressed his own forehead to the back of it. The numbness lessened slightly, replaced by a strange tingling, as if Deanna's brain were itching. Suddenly, the young man was a complete blank on her mental sensor array, radiating not the slightest hint of organic emotion. It was how Data felt when she tried to read him.
"What are you?" Will asked, bristling with hostility and protectiveness.
"Me?" The young man straightened up, fiddled with the strange cloth bow he wore around the collar of his shirt. "I'm the Doctor. And when you've been around as long as I have, done the things I've done, you're like nerve gas to empaths. Unless you take the proper precautions..."

Cool, thanks, Aqua!
JJ, I think you're right. That would totally be how that particular encounter would go.
