Has anyone else uploaded to teaspoon in say the last 24 hours?
I noticed today that I got an update from my favorites in triplicate... It was odd, but I assumed it was the author making changes or some such nonsense.
However, I just uploaded the first part of the drowning story I've been working on, and made a new series to go with it... The story seems to be listed twice, and the series three times.
I'm confused... Has anyone else had a similar issue. I've not really used Teaspoon enough to be confident that I know the way it works when it's working properly.

Well... That seems to have sorted itself out... Although I seem to have accidentally deleted that series altogether and had to write the summary again... I'm not as happy with it the second time through... Anyway, the first part of the fic we were discussing here deathbyaspirin.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=fifth&action=display&thread=1805 is now up on my Teaspoon account. Featuring Fivey, Tegan, Turlough, and for once a somewhat helpful and appreciated TARDIS. www.whofic.com/series.php?seriesid=3220I really need for someone to give this a read though, and I don't have anyone around here who's into the Fifth Doctor enough to read it for me, so please let me know what you guys think. Dad, no sending this to random people without telling me this time. That was creepy. Also, Eight's part I'm writing while I type instead of writing it all out by hand from the bullet points and then typing it up like I did this part... It's going...interestingly. Six pages on that and I'm barely through the first couple pages of bullet points! XD

Hopefully, baring any major complications or English assignments, I'll have Eight's story finished by next weekend.
Also, I've just discovered that I've never checked my reviews on Teaspoon, and had several waiting for me. The really odd thing was, I sear I've read the most recent ones before. I think I dreamt it too, which sometimes happens to me when I'm thinking too much about internet feedback... which I probably am. Bizarrely strong deja vu in any case. I suspect they may be very similar to parts of conversations I've had while hashing out how the thing should be written in the first place. XD

...Or not...
Wow, I've never actually had a writing submission rejected, but then again, I haven't used Teaspoon that much.
As much as I'm a bit frustrated by the rejection, I'm also quite awed that they actually take the time to review their submissions. Not only do they read them, but they actually send you back a message with some info about what needs to be corrected.
I'll have to take a look at it and see if I can fix it, but I'm probably going to have to find someone to proofread it for me, which could be difficult, since I'm the strongest writer and proofreader amongst my friends. Also, I don't know who I can hand it to that would be willing to give this kind of project a read through...

I was wondering what happened there. If you need a beta there's a lot of authors hanging around here who'd be happy to help (myself included).

Offering?
I've printed out a hard copy and I'm going to go over it with a fine toothed comb today and hopefully will be able to get the last mistakes out of it, but another opinion is always welcome.

Ha! Finished proofreading on the bus to band competition Saturday, and finished corrections today. It got accepted this time! www.whofic.com/viewstory.php?sid=43708I have to apologize to anyone who so much as looked at what was posted previously, I really had no idea it was so mixed up. I just got overexcited and posted it without so much as a read through. DX

Finished Eleven's story and it's now posted on FF.net here: www.fanfiction.net/s/7565530/1/Drowning_Elevens_StoryI'm waiting to get a few more reviews and see if anyone spots and errors or has any major suggestions before I submit it to Teaspoon. Clocket, do you still want me to email you a copy, or are the links fine, because I don't have your actual email address...

Just took a look at it - not a bad little hurt/comfort fic at all, if there's still any issue with it at this point, I would wonder if it is being triggered by the words the TARDIS says toward the end being all run together - perhaps that is seen as a 'typo' instead? Words run all together seen as a formatting error?
I had one that wouldn't post on Teaspoon once because (it turned out) it had the word "Lynx" in it. Meh?? It seemed to be something that the software itself wouldn't permit, some quirk of the programmers for reasons unknown to me. I went over and over that story looking for problems in bewilderment and then submitted it in chunks trying to find which chunk had the problem in it - once "lynx" was changed to "wildcat" it worked. Go figure!
Anyway, that's just to note that if something is kicked back, take a look at it and don't give up. :-)

Thanks Prim, I'll keep that in mind, although I haven't actually posted it yet. I was just waiting for it to get looked over by a few more pairs of eyes before I sent it in, don't want a repeat of what happened with the last part! XD
I was checking out the word counts on all three parts the other day and laughing with my brother about the fact that the first two are within one hundred words of each other right at 4,500 words and this third part comes in at around 2,000 or so. I'm not totally thrilled with this last one, but it's become one of the largest writing projects I've ever undertaken, so I'm just glad it's finished! *Sighs with relief*

Yay! Teaspoon has accepted it on the first try this time! Here's the link: www.whofic.com/viewstory.php?sid=44412Well, that wraps up that series, although I have been toying with doing a few illustrations for some of the stories. I have this one sketch of Eleven on the couch, but I'm rubbish at doing people laying down, so I'm not sure about it...
