fun Topless Robot article on some of the, uh, less well conceived monsters of Classic Who: www.toplessrobot.com/2011/06/the_15_kookiest_creatures_of_classic_doctor_who.phpMy favourite things about this are: 1. The awesome introduction: 2. The fact that Kandyman doesn't take first (though I think it could be argued that he deserves it) 3. The article includes the Nimon video. Yes, THAT Nimon video. NIMONS ARE FOREVER!!!

Very nice list - and nice that the Kandyman wasn't no.1 as Clocket says, cause he deserves more respect, dammit! ;D But yeah, the Daleks probably do deserve a place there that most of the other "brand recognition" monsters don't, because it's easy to forget just what a weird concept they are and how, er...interestingly implemented they have been over the years. Kitlings, though! Heh, Kitlings! ;D
Seriously, the dead cat bit is the second most disturbing thing about Survival...after Random Hale and Pace, but luckily nobody else apart from me and possibly lost_spook when she happens by here probably know who Hale and Pace are...

Thoroughly enjoyed that - and I like that they drew a line to note that it does not equate with "pathetic" - though goodness knows it would be rather easy to come up with a list of those as well (rubber Nessie, anyone?). I think my favorite bit was their attempt to explain Ghost Light. Good luck on that one!

Rubber Nessie? Pah! I'll see your rubber Nessie and raise you the Myrka. Dear lord, the Myrka... *shudders*

Aww... the Myrka was cute, in a panto!monster sort of way, shuffling along like that with it's cute widdle buggy eyes. ;-P
Does the pterodactyl puppet that Jon was attacking himself with count? I wonder sometimes what become of some of those rubber props. Who has the Drashigs, for instance? Do they make regular appearances at family parties?

LOL, yes, the pterodactyl ;D
I dread to think what happened to some of those props. I think some of them mouldered in BBC storage for years, or ended up in various exhibitions, and eventually got auctioned off to collectors. I know that some of the ones from JNT's years in charge sort of ended up in his possession, but what happened to them after he passed away I have no idea...
