Well, I've finally caught up with the arrival of Captain Jack, but I'm not terribly surprised that he's turned out to be a con man by his own admission. It's a shame that his ship couldn't have been saved or salvaged, as it seemed to have a lot of similar abilities to the tardis, and maybe he'll be able to show the doctor a thing or two about flying it. I love the interaction between the doctor and the captain.
I especially enjoyed the camera pull back at the end, showing how utterly alone Capt Jack was on board his ship, until the walls appeared to be more Tardis than his ship.
I wonder if the inclusion of him to the companions riding in the tardis was an afterthought, cause it somewhat feels like he's been written out of the series at that point, but like true Moffat, it reverses and twists.
(Did anyone else notice the similarity of the hospital ward possession to Season Five's first show with Prisoner Zero?
NOTE THE LIBERAL USE OF WHITE TYPE TO AVOID SPOILERS FOR THOSE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THESE DEVELOPMENTS YET.
