Greetings giraffecustard! I love your handle. It combines several of my favourite things: giraffes, custard, drunken-giraffe-like men who eat custard...
Welcome to the bestest little Who forum on the web. I hope you enjoy it here. Feel free to participate, regenerate old threads, jump into random conversations, throw cake, etc. etc.
Since you didn't say, may I ask how you stumbled across us?
As for the fish custard... it's actually a lot better than you'd expect. Really.

I actually came across the link on Livejournal and being a new Whovian, I wanted to surround myself around other Whovians so, voila, found this forum and quite glad I did. I loves it

Well, you will certainly find Whovians in abundance here; every variety you'd like from just-started-watching-last-week to has-seen-everything-from-1963-to-last-week... and the spin-off material. It makes for a fun mix. It also means that if you've got a question about anything canon-related you're sure to find someone with an answer (usually about how there is no canon) or at the least a rousing discussion (usually ending with everyone agreeing that there is no canon... it's the one thing you can be sure of).
Welcome to the marvellous world of Who! It's the best and maddest fandom I've come across.

Welcome. On my recommendation though, DON'T try fish custard. Given, it can be rather difficult to determine exactly what "Custard" is supposed to be here in the good old US of A, but I actually had a fish custard party with some whovian friends, and we substituted vanilla yogurt... And it was frankly disgusting.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy your stay, and look forward to chatting! ^^

If you use Bird's custard its okay. When I was going on about how nasty it sounded before trying it I had obviously forgotten how wonderful Bird's custard is. It tastes good with ANYTHING.
Granted... I probably wouldn't mind fishsticks with yogourt. Plain though, not vanilla.

If I can find Bird's custard here, I shall give that a try. Why not give my first taste of custard then with a Doctor Who reason. Thanks for the welcomes as well as advice about fish custard Now....about those giraffes *ponders* (random but I had to add them in)

Welcome! Clocker has summarised so succinctly that I don't really know what to say! ;D Hope you enjoy your stay here, and giraffe custard makes for a great username.

I'm worried to think what an " expected" clocker would be like!

Is it a drunken giraffe, though? Welcome! I hope you enjoy yourself here and find the place generally to your liking. I think we have a wide range of different Who interests here and people from all sorts of different places and backgrounds, so I hope you find it as welcoming and fun as I did when I first joined.

Greetings, G.C. (sorry I'm a terrible typist and hence shorten everyone's names) I echo everyone else in telling you what a fabulous little forum (CP stole my oblique Broadway reference so now I must find a new one) you've stumbled across. We're a lovely assortment of mixed nuts, both classic fans and nuWhovians (I count myself firmly a member of both camps). Hope you enjoy our site and can't wait to chat with you more in depth in the threads!

Hullo! I agree, you have a great handle. Welcome to DbyA.
I'm in the US, and haven't had any problems finding Bird's custard in supermarkets. Still haven't attempted it with fish sticks, however.

Go to your User Control Panel (you can find the button directly under the DbyA logo at the top of the page), once there click on Modify Profile and you're set to go. You can put anything you like as your siggy so long as you adhere to the two siggy rules:
1. Thou shalt be Safe For Work
and
2. Thou shalt not Stretch the Page
;D
(psst, you might also want to use the full spelling of the word you as chatspeak makes me twitch)

I found some powdered Bird's custard stuff in the specialty aisle of a supermarket here, along with other bizarre and unusual substances like Hobnobs and Branston's. We found we like to make it with coconut milk, it makes a nice coconut pudding thing that way. Haven't tried it with giraffes yet, though.
Welcome giraffecustard!
