My son encouraged me to play with the "auto summarize" tool on MS Word for entertainment this morning - so we plugged in a chunk of JJ's "MasterChef" (a perennial favorite no doubt eventually to be bound in leather and kept among family herilooms)
The results at asking it to make it into a drabble amused, as it picked up Crunchy!Master's immortal line - "Schoolchildren!" ;D
The summary set at 1% of the text was even better:
Hee! Go forth and summarize.

I find that summary strangely disturbing, if I'm honest... ;D

Until I read this post I had no idea that Microsoft Word could do such a thing... I am now extremely tempted to run my own work though it!

I'm trying to imagine how this could possibly work. I thought, isn't this requiring that the computer actually think, and understand things? Which may be why it doesn't work so well... Now I want to walk up to people having private conversations and say, voice dripping with evil, "Schoolchildren!!" And time how fast phones come out of pockets and calls are placed to the police.... wait, no I don't.
That is definitely an immortal story of jjpor's. Every time I see his avatar I think, "Peoples of this kitchen, please attend carefully!" I don't remember what a Master was saying about schoolchildren, though.
