Obviously, spoilers, but nothing you shouldn't have been exposed to already. There are however some big old spoilers in the comments that you may not have seen, so you'll probably want to avoid those if you're being cautious. www.youtube.com/watch?v=aB4QKCncJnMThoughts: What is that music playing in the background?!?! Doesn't work at all. Is it just me, or do the monsters look cheaper than usual this year? I like it. THE GUEST STARS!!! Clyde doing a Doctor-ish run-and-dive from an explosion? DO WANT! And now I'm just going to take a moment to be happy that we've got a fourth series of this and hope that we get a fifth one as well. Because there's one thing I know in my deepest darkest heart, and that's that the SJA has to always out-perform the OTHER spin-off. Otherwise I'll be a very sad Clocket. edit: after watching this clip an unhealthy number of times, the music is growing on me.

You're right - they do look cheaper, and it's glorious! SJA continues to be the closest thing to 80s Doctor Who that it is possible to get in this dark, dismal latter-day world... ;D
*(I mean, seriously, anime-style robots, Clyde, ELEVEN (in his new outfit)!! AND CLYDE!!! What's not to like? I just hope Clyde gets to interact as awesomely with Eleven as he got to with Ten)*
I'd heard that S5 and S4 had both already been commissioned and were filming back-to-back, but I agree it's best not to count your chickens etc etc - let's just be grateful for what we know we have.

Those robots looked awesome! And besides, what is a Doctor Who show without a low budget and bad-quality monsters? = ) You know, what I'm really excited about is the episode with Eleven and Jo Grant!

Yeah. That episode is going to be much win. I bought SJA Season 1 just to prepare for it.

Hmm. =D This looks pretty good. Though I am a bit upset about them reusing the grask AGAIN. I'm getting tired of the whole Trickster plot and the Grask has only been in episodes with him. And the Destroyer of Worlds guy was scary but I don't want to see him again. The story was told and bringing him back kind of feels like the writers are being lazy. Where's the creativity?
But I'm looking forward to Eleven and Jo! And, of course, Clyde, Luke, Rani, and Sarah being their normal awesome selves.

Oh, wow. For like two seconds I was like 'The Rani's going to be in it? No way! Where'd you hear that?' You got me all excited and then I was just like 'Oooooh, right. Nevermind.' = )

According to something I read today, SJA S4 seems most likely to start airing here in the UK on Monday October 11. Now, whether that turns out to be true I don't know, but that seems to be the smart thinking right now.
I wonder if they'll air both parts of each two-parter in the same week as they've done in the past. I hope so.

I really thought the Tenth Doctor was going to bring it up in his episode, but he never did. I'm hoping Eleven will. I'd just love for a passing comment like "Oh, really? I knew a Rani once. A woman of rare guile and devilish cunning... Oh, they don't make them like her anymore." And then just go about his way. And yes, he must say it just like that, because then you get a double reference there. What sort of Doctor Who is it if it doesn't reference the Terrible Zodin? = )

I'd sort of like to see Eleven going like "RANI??! Ah, yes, I see...." before shrugging it off and getting on with things. You know, a real nonsequitir that'll just look goofy to the kids but we'll get it... ;D
I think it should be on BBC1 like the previous series...I assume they were on BBC1 anyway - I've actually watched all of them on the BBC iPlayer...

Oh, that would be awesome. Oh, now if they don't do that I'm going to be so disappointed. I mean, that's something that could easily be done and you could see Eleven doing. He's just odd enough that people who don't know The Rani would still just go with it.

Which is part of his charm, isn't it? Man, I'm so pleasantly surprised by how much I like Matt in such a short time. It's not like me to be so pleased with the new series. It's such a bizarre change, I almost don't know what to make of it. (Not that I didn't love Nine and Ten. I was just prone to get ticked off at some (a lot) of RTD's technical decisions.) I'm really looking froward to this episode, though. I really have to go watch the last season of SJA before it comes on.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. And I know what you mean - my love of Eleven is embarrassing to me, seeing how much badmouthing I've done about New Who in the past... I feel like a sell-out or something! ;D

Exactly. I really didn't have too much to even say about this new series, other than how much I loved it. Off the top of my head I can't think of anything I really hated, except maybe the plot of 'The Beast Below,' thought that's a whole other discussion. I'm sure there are some things. Victory of the Daleks, I guess. But mostly it was just good fun and even when I didn't love it, I didn't really hate it either. And I was still enjoying it.
That's not something I could ever have said about RTD's time. I always had an arsenal of backlash ready for that guy. This is just such a new feeling for me, actually being really, really excited and optimistic about the upcoming series.... But oh, so nervous too. I really want to love Matt and the new series, so I'll only be more upset when they screw something up. It won't be like before, when I was half-expecting it.
