Don't feel badly JJ my christmas fic has spiralled out of my control and is attempting to be a more of a full length story than a Christmas fic and I am quite daunted by having sixteen(ish) days to finish!

Oh, I know exactly how you feel, Merry... It's more stressful than Xmas shopping! Wait, aren't I supposed to be doing this for fun?? ;D And lostspook, Christmas cake fic is just like normal cake fic, but spicier and more fruity... Ah well, time I put up or shut up! Part the first: www.whofic.com/viewstory.php?sid=34400Mince pies and tacky music you say? I'm there! ;D

Christmas cake fic is just like normal cake fic, but spicier and more fruity... Christmas cake fic? Oh, tempt me not! X-D Loving your ghost story, jj - I'm on the edge of my seat wondering if the Doctor will get any mince pies!

That does seem to be the plot point that is exercising most of the people who have read it... ;D

I fail at writing Christmassy Christmas fic. The only seasonal thing about this is the plot device to get Donna alone in the office. Jamie's Angels in: Uninvited (Second Doctor, Donna, Jamie, etc.)

OH, my look at all the lovely Christmas fics!
Firstly, I got around to catching up with Pt 1 & 2 of JJ's and, what surprise (not) it was just about as Christmasssy and UNIT-y and all round perfect beginning of an Xmas fic as you can get.
Then I read Jamie's Angels (which was Christmas fic - it wouldn't have happened at any other time of the year) and that made me hop and down for glee (well, not while I was trying to read it, obviously). Because Jamie's Angels happening inside continuity and with Donna. That was just great fun.
And now Prim's got a Christmas cake ready to go? (It's not okayed yet).
*passes round the mince pies* (I found these on their way to the Doctor's lab, but thought i'd nick them in the spirit of the season or something.)
Anyway, enough of this - I was actually merrily writing the wrong story and I must run away. I may not get another chance till after Christmas...

It's been okayed (and it is Clocket-approved, I'm so happy!)
We seem to be on a pretty good roll this holiday season, no need to stop now.

And the fourth (in which Three COMPLETELY loses his rag, beats up Yatesy and shoots the Brig! No, no not really... ;D ): JJ writes Irritable!Three like no other, it helps keep the universe in balance. Must go find this Part the Fourth now.

Can I just say how much I enjoyed this? Part the Ninth has just been read and I do believe I shall quite happily go back and read the whole thing again.

Thank you very much! I'm just glad I managed to get it finished before Xmas - this time last week, I was getting worried that I wouldn't, but luckily I already had most of the conclusion written from the days when it wasn't a great big multi-parter! ;D

I have a beginning, but I probably won't get a chance to write it until after Christmas - have to save it for next year!
Yours was very nice, though.

I...had a really good idea (I think!), but ended up not having time to write it due to, well, Eleven...and...stuff. And I don't want to try and rush it over the next few days, because I think it would end up being a longish one like last year's and I'd like to take my time and do it properly.
But at least I won't have to think too hard about Xmas fic for next year...
I may have a plan B... No promises, though - I think promises would be unwise at this stage. ;D

I've given up on being able to have time to write at all of late - but I can (humbly) remind of Wishing on a Peppermint Star from last year - for those who may want a bit of Three with their Christmas candies. www.whofic.com/viewstory.php?sid=34310Ideas I've in plenty though - so I can hope next time to offer something less like boxed fruitcake and more like a helping of sugar-cookies fresh from the oven. Edited to add - I amend that previous sentiment about having nothing new to offer for the season - Starflower gave me a nudge this morning to write "a drabble for Christmas" and I ended up with a short story/ficlet/thing... Here it is (pending mod approval at the 'spoon just now): Acquired Taste (Three, Jo and Benton) www.whofic.com/viewstory.php?sid=39934

I have written my first ever Christmas fic! The idea just came to me, and since I'm having no luck on my works in progress I decided to write it. It is Amelia and Rory, on the first Christmas Eve after she met the Doctor. I hope you will read it here, after the Teaspoon mods work their magic. www.whofic.com/viewstory.php?sid=39941
