Oh, primsong. You and your theory's surround stuff being just dreams or hullcinations. The thing you'll tell me is that Journey's End is nothing but a very bad dream. Oh, I wish! ;D Yeah, you raise a very good point there, Abby, and I think it's down to the fact that the people who made the TVM had very little knowledge of/respect for the original series (I'm convinced they only gave the Master yellow eyes because they'd only seen Survival and thought that was what he always had...). And plus, if it had been picked up for a full series, it was going to be a complete reboot ignoring/rewriting the oldschool continuity. I mean, they were planning on remaking classic stories... I guess there are handwavy, fanficcy sort of esplanations you could come up with, but none of them are really convincing (including the one I dreamed up for my Time War fic, that it was actually "New Skaro", but that's a cheat, because there's no indication of that in the TVM). Clocket may have hit the nail on the head there - The Time War Did It. It's like A Wizard Did It, but marginally less magicky. ;D Unless Daleks are just really unimaginative and name every planet they conquer Skaro? You know, like Alexandra the Great used to go around founding dozens of cities called Alexandria (of which the one in Egypt is the only one to still exist/still be called that)... Nah, that's just daft... EDIT: I've just amused myself with that typo above. Alexandra the Great? Who's she when she's at home? I like the Doctor, kind of like Grace, and the plot was interesting but a bit strange. But, yeah, overall, not one of the better stories. Still, I think if they got actual DW fans in the US to work on the movie, it would have been better. Then it could have worked out to be something to really add to the genre.

Well, really - think about it....The Master spits like a llama, for pity's sake! The whole things was probably just a post-regenerative hallucination. Didn't happen. Which explains a lot of things, actually. LOL XD Oh, primsong. You and your theory's surround stuff being just dreams or hullcinations. The thing you'll tell me is that Journey's End is nothing but a very bad dream. You know AR, the trailer for the Christmas/New Year's finally starts with the monologue: "At the end of days the people of Earth shared a terrible dream..." or something along those lines. I like to think that dream was Journey's End. And with 2012 fast approaching, it's obviously that our doom is eminent.

Nostradamus phooey! There isn't a bit of science or fact to support any them. You might as well place a hand over your eyes and throw darts at a spinning wheel for all good those things can say about the future. But it would be nice if JE was a dream, and Donna can continue being brilliant! I'd love to see her continue traveling with the Doctor or at least being an ally we'll see again int he future.

2012?
Surely London hosting the Olympics isn't going to be THAT much of a disaster?
Is it? ;D

Perhaps I should to be somewhere else then? Say, Mars? And I've got a few tinfoil hats if anyone wants one.

Nice idea. I'll leave it to you to explain why the bees are disappearing, and the Doctor met Wilf by accident in VotD, and the Ood referred to the DoctorDonna, and she is returning, not to mention everything in Turn Left.

it make sense, 2012 is the end of the world. London is hosting the Olympics during that year, London is always attacked by aliens. If the world ends in 2012, I so hope it will be because of daleks and cybermen. Like really, I would be ok with the world ending that way.

I personally have no interest in being exterminated by any of Dalek Fred's colleagues. Even if they did exist, which fortunately they don't.
But aliens stop play makes a change from rain stops play, I suppose.

Hey, I remember when the world was supposed to be ending in 1999. According to Nostradamus anyway, but let's face it, Nostradamus said all kinds of crazy things, and Four probably wrote most of those poems for him anyway. While drunk. When 2012 comes around, they'll just pick another good one. 2020 or something. Those Mayans, though; interesting people. Stingray spines... *winces* (Clocket knows only too well of what I speak). Fingers crossed though, eh? In Journey's End's case, I'd probably be prepared to let them off for Whew! It Was All A Dream... ;D
