No one seems to like this one but me.... I think the writer and actors were out of synch, and the readings of lines between Colin and Nicola seem odd, but I really like the scenes with them running through alleys in London. I enjoy seeing people in extreme outfits walking around in public unself-consciously, and Peri, you're pretty conspicuous too...!
After their having made such a big deal out of returning to Totter's Lane in Remembrance, it's easy to foget that they did it in this story, a couple of years earlier, as a joke. "This looks familiar..." Hmmm...
I like the bits on Telos with the laborers stressing each other out, and knocking off Cyberheads... The Cryons were a good SF idea, though they look so much like Hartnell era aliens that I keep thinking they must have appeared back then, but no.
I think there was a key bit of expostion delivered by the Cyberleader early on that I just can't make out because his voice is too distorted--- one possible reason the story has always confused me. The Cyberleader and henchcybermen seem to hang around a laboratory used to converting humans into Cybermen when planning things... maybe Cyberleaders would feel silly working out of an office?
At the end, in that lab, while Litton's being converted, the Cyberleader comes in, points gun at Colin, so far so good, but then two more Cybermen wander into the room and seem to shoot each other, for no reason.
End: Colin saying melodramatically "I must save him!" and Peri saying he can't, when things have clearly died down, no living Cybermen in the room, Litton's on the floor disconnected from the alcove, why not just drag him into the Tardis?
I may watch the Colins in order now. Then again I might not make it past Varos.
Tomorrow's my housing review deadline for the paperwork to be in. I hope the crazy bureaucrat got everything filed. I'm trying to get my mind off it, I guess.
