Okay, this one is a little more challenging. If you were stuck on a deserted island and could only have one episode starring the 8th Doctor, which one would you choose, and why?

Um, Zagreus? Seriously, if you ever get the chance to listen to it, it will be the most cracked-filled three and a half hours of your life.
Other than that, though, maybe something with C'rizz. C'rizz does really good angst and good angst is kind of a guilty pleasure of mine. Or Blood of the Daleks, for the Lucie-and-Doctor fighting. This just reminded me that I haven't heard season three of the Lucie Miller series yet, and season two ended on a ginormous cliffhanger.

And, you know, the TVM had a lot wrong with it (understatement of this or any other century), but McGann was good in it. Wouldn't it be great to see him in a flashback or something in NuWho? Eh?

I'd only be satisfied if McGann were more than a gimmick thrown in briefly for squee value, in other words, we'd see him in a pivotal role in the Time War probably. I'd like to see him validated and honored in DW history, in the same way that Sylvester was in the Fox movie.

Zagreus is quite extraordinary, yes. Please say it's not just me who finds McGann's crazy Zagreus voice kind of especially sexy? Ahem. I adore The Chimes of Midnight, to the point where I've mentioned it maybe twice already on here. But I can't rave about it enough. Possibly. There are some really nice stories that play with the audio concept, like Scherzo or The Natural History of Fear. In general, though, the Divergent Universe arc left me sort of cold. Oh, but Caerdroia is excellent, too. Mainly for being a multi-Doctor story only of Eight, which is just extremely funny.
I ought to check out the Lucie Miller stories, yes? I haven't really been looking into them, mostly because I'm kicking myself just a bit for not listening to them when they were free and streaming online, but I need my Eight fix.

Mainly for being a multi-Doctor story only of Eight, which is just extremely funny. I've been meaning to check out Caerdroia, but I'm afraid that I'll have to buy the complete divergent unverse arc to understand it.

Caerdroia, definitely. And you really don't need the whole arc to understand it - it was the first Doctor Who audio I ever heard, and I was fine.

Caerdroia is all sorts of awesome now that I've finally listened to it. Eighty goodness x3. I'm surprised you understood it though because most of the parallel universe storyline goes right over my head. :S (but I think that's more my fault than anything wrong with the story) Also... WELCOME! You're new here aren't you? You can make an introduction post over here if you like: deathbyaspirin.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=intro but it's not required. It's awesome to see new members though. I hope you enjoy it here!

Hmph. In that case, didn't most of Eight's stories go over your head, Clocket? It seems like all of his stories were involved in some parallel whatsit or another. And when it wasn't parallel universes, it was time paradoxes or amnesia stories. Oh, how we love your crazy stories, Eight.
But I'm gonna have to go with Zagreus on this one. I just loved that episode. Not to mention, it's a good way to cheat and get three other Doctors with you. And Charley. And so many others. = ) Plus, Paul being super hammy was incredibly fun.
Besides, I can't take the whole Grandfather Paradox run with me, so listening to just one of those would be sad. I guess I might go with 'Vengeance of Morbius' or any other episode with Lucie Miller, though. Or, heck, you know, I might just pick the movie. If nothing else, I get to see Paul's face for however long I'm stuck on the island. That's one fine way to pass the time.
((Though I'm wondering how I have a TV and electricity on this island. Doesn't sound too bad, really. = ) Oh, and welcome to DbyA, Vorell.))

I understand everything up to Zagreus. After that I'm just... what's going on now? It doesn't help that I listened to the divergent universe audios all out of order (and I still haven't heard them all) and I mean ALL out of order; itune scrambled them without me noticing so I was listening to part 3 followed by half of part 2 followed by the end credits half the time.

Hmph. Dang, Clocket. Eight's run is confusing enough in order. I couldn't imagine listening to it that messed up. I'm impressed that you could make any sense out of it at all. I mean, all those paradoxes and parallel universes. It makes the rest of Doctor Who's canon look sane. = )
