Yeah, island is a word of annoyance. But one I love. It's fun to tell kids to spell it 'iland' 'cause they don't know better. I had my little brother convinced for months as a kid that easy was spelled 'e-z.' These words are just fun. I've seen someone spell it Nikolas, but never Nikolaas. That looks cool though. Hahaha, true, telling kids how to spell words wrong is full of fun. Nikolaas is the way they spell it in The Netherlands. If I remember my Dutch Grammar, the two says are pronounce "ah" but with the 'A' going a little longer.

My parents named me when I was born... I didn't have much say in it, actually! Although I have heard my mother tell the story that she was looking for unusual names, that would not be common to other children. That way, if she yelled for "Kirk"... I would answer and respond, and not if other mothers or others were distracting me.
She did the same with my elder sister's name, prefering something short and simply but unique. She came across her name on the back cover of a magazine like Look, or Life magazine that featured Breck hair shappoo...and a modell named "Jodelle"... so that became "Jody".
I'm told that as the date of my birth drew near, my father was leaning toward "Tedd"... but my mom called him at work, and said "Let's not call him Tedd, cause the kids will tease him with "Teddybear". My father, iritated because he though it was "The CALL"... said, "Name it whatever you like!" and slammed down the phone!

Mine is a bit lame I suppose.
It actually comes from making my email account on Yahoo. I didn't want to just use my full name so I wanted to use "Aqua" the name of my personal marry sue-born OC. That was short enough to have been taken of couse.
I've always had a thing for bluejays actually, (and blue things in general), and it happened to be sort of flaring up at the time. The two got combined into a username for my email and BAM! I started using it on other sites.
Aquabluejay is now my username on basically every site i use, except ff.net and the letter boxing website, which for some reason have a different, although admittedly related username.

I don't get your username to be honest. I.M. Foreman was the name of the junkyard that the TARDIS was stored (and where Susan got her surname, Foreman, that she went by in that one) in An Unearthly Child. It's probably not as well known as I thought it was. I believe it was only ever shown on screen, and then revisited in Attack of the Cybermen and misspelled as something else in Remembrance of the Daleks. Oh, and here I just thought it was because you were the Foreman of the board....

My username is different from the name you see. Ratherbetraveling - I saw an icon on Livejournal a long time ago, it said rather be travelling. It had a guy in a small boat in the middle of no where. I wish I had saved that icon. Anyway I was like yeah, I rather be traveling too, seeing I am addicted to traveling (no really, I am. I have shown signs of withdrawal syndrome). So I started to use the nick name. Newton - I was joining neopets for the 4792793 time when I needed to think of an username. Ratherbetraveling wasn't working out for some reason. My cat who was dying at the time and was lying on my bed beside the computer. So I suddenly typed in WhyNewton. I ended up with Why_Newton. People would just call me Newton so that became my online nick name. I gave away my pets on neopets but I wouldn't give away my pet named why_newton. I thought it was to weird for people to have pet that pretty much summed up my feelings for my dead cat. I told people online I wouldn't give that pet away and people still asked. >__< Then I properly went through some drama on here, overreacted, and deleted my account for the 2nd time. I started a new account named Stripes, named after another cat of mine, who is also now no loner with us. Then I think more drama happen, and I deleted my account, AGAIN. (I'm starting to think I have personality disorder or something). and then some time later I made this account. Which does back to Dr Newton. Now a days I either go by DrNewton, TheDrNewton, DrN, or ImThatFairlyOddGirl.
