For those who might also have an interest in a family-friendly Tolkien-themed forum, I admin the 'Fellowship of Middle-earth' . We are what's left of the Official Fan Club community (the folks you see listed in the credits on the extended dvds), an active core community that covers all topics and types, relatively easy to keep up with and good friendly folks. I also keep the writing archives for this community, The LOTRfanclub Scrapbook, where any Tolkien-themed writings that are posted to the above forum are kept. After seven years together, it's gotten to be quite a large site. Just in case anyone was so inclined - my own muse has wandered off from M-e into the Whoniverse, but it's still a 'home away from home'.

Hmmm.... I used to be really into lotr, but it was totally spoilled by association with an annoying ex. Though, I really shouldn't let that ruin it for me?
I had a total crush on Strider and Sam, from the books, and this transfered to the movies. Yes... long ago...
and I think I wrote half a fanfic about Legolas once.. but... the Whoniverse is far more fanfic friendly I think than the lotr-verse.
