"EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMIN- *thud* ...piss." Oh wow, this just so tickled my funnybone. I like the daleks and I imagine they will return I hope they don't become the Finale Enemies though as that would be dead depressing.

wait... tipping them over wouldn't work, they can fly now. Curse those writers and their attempts to make the Daleks less cheesy.

Yeah. I remember when I first found out about this. "Oh we have FLYING daleks now. Fantastic!"

It was a bit shocking, though wasn't it? We are all relaxed and happy seeing that dalek thwarted so easily, HA! They went upstairs you nasty old pepper pot! But then, bam! out of nowhere flying daleks, it was dreadful. In an "oh bleep" kind of way not in kill the writers way.

Well, of course, the classic example of this is in Remembrance of the Daleks, when Seven runs up those cellar stairs, and the Dalek comes straight up after him... classic cliffhanger, and one of the moments that really made me love Who as an impressionable young'un.

haha! my impressionable youth was shaped more by five, I must admit. Perhaps that is why I like ten so much, he seems to have bits from all my faves, he's mad (4), he's innocent (5), he's a bit scary (7) and he's a goober(2). I honestly cannot remember Remembrance very well (haha amusing that) reckon I ought to watch it again then. I have the WORST time coming across classic episodes though, grrr.

Aldy once said that Clocket is the pied-piper of youtube. The eppies just sort of flock to her.

That's true. Clocket has magic link powers. I saw that ep of the flying dalek in classic who. I still think that the writers just wanted the daleks less cheesy. By the way, would sticking a hat on the eyepiece, like four and seven did, still work? I have been wondering about that. The paint ball (which I thought was BRILLIANT), did not work, would they burn the hat now?

I don't like to brag (nor I'm I sure this is really something to brag about), but I'm relatively sure I was one of the first to happen upon Ange when she started the first incarnation of the archives many moons ago. O.o
Though, lately my magic link powers are more due to following the lead of others more asture than I.

By the way, would sticking a hat on the eyepiece, like four and seven did, still work? You know, I think you may have hit on their remaining secret weakness there, actually... I'm sure that modern Daleks have all sorts of fancy sensors that mean they don't even have to see you to shoot you, but that didn't stop them from (spoiler follows - highlight only if you've seen Journey's End): Installing a great big "blow us all up" console on their mother ship - the dolts!

I'm sure they will be back, can you honestly imagine DW w/o Daleks? It's like eggnog without rum, festive but not nearly as much fun.
spoilers follow for journey's end, highlight to see them (i hope)
You know Jjpor, I hadn't even really thought of that until you mentioned it, too busy wondering why a human timelord was smarter than a timelord human which STILL plagues me, by the way, how come he got be okay and Donna didn't, wasn't he just as much a biological meta-crisis??

Merry, replying to your whited-out bit: I honestly don't think that what happens in the last twenty minutes or so of Journey's End has anything to do with logical plotting; it's more like RTD's private fanfic... (Trying to cut down on the churlish RTD-bashing, but it's so easy).

I think it had it moments, which I won't go into here, lol. I do see what you both mean however. I can't believe I was so focused on the bit that irritated me that I didn't see the rest, lol I can sure focus! *feels a bit silly* But I really do reckon they'll (Daleks) be back, can't fathom them not being. They ALWAYS come back.

XD yes, they are like cats, aren't they. I hope they come back, at least. It would suck not to have Daleks on the show. It is like having a party without a banana. You feel like there is something missing.
