I keep having to count the decades off in my head, to reconfirm that, yes, it's been 49 years since DW's premiere. I remember the 20th anniversary, and the first broadcast of Five Doctors, and now that's unbelieveably long ago. Once I wanted to do a parody called "The 47 Doctors", and it would have been a quick shot of a room squeezed completely full of Doctors, all with different odd costumes and quirks, failing to move much or even breathe much... I think the Marx Brothers sort of did it already though. I think I actually thought about which was the funniest number. Not sure what my criteria were for picking 47....
Tardis Chicago or Chicago Tardis may be going on right now, fairly near me. I've heard absolutely nothing about it this year, though.

Aye, a happy 49th to you too, Magnus - only a year to go now till the big five-o... Did Heinz used to claim they had 47 varieties of tinned...stuff, or was it 57? I suppose The Forty-Two Doctors would also count as a Douglas Adams reference. It seems like a pretty good idea for a parody, anyway - more than one Doctor's a crowd, probably.
I believe it is going on, or something is anyway - I've seen various US-based acquaintances of mine on Livejournal etc mentioning they're headed that way.
