I like the regenerate/exterminate buttons. They're characterful. Don't know when they happened, though - I assume IMF had a hand in it.

I got bored and I decided to see how long it would take before someone mentioned them. ;D

Does anyone know when 7 is actually set to start? I've heard "fall" and I've heard "2nd last weekend of August" and since it IS the second last weekend of August I want to make sure I'm not missing anything. Though I feel like that would be scrawled left right and centre if I were...
Also, I've finally seen the trailer. Only once since my internet access of the day is outside the doors of the local gym. It's very hot and the people coming to work out keep giving me funny looks. Oh well.
SPACE TRICERATOPS! OMG! THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY IN MY HEART! And what look like UTAHRAPTORS! AND DOCTOR ON A HORSE! OMG! AND PROPER DALEKS!
Ahem.
As for End of Time. It's... not good. But it's so bad and ambitious that it becomes a classic just by virtue of trying so hard. And it does have its good bits. And its memorable bits. Those aren't always the same bits *cough* the turkey scene *cough* but all the same.
One of these days I've got to finish writing my EofT plothole fixit fic.

And there's a fairly unsubtle hole in BBC America's schedule that night.

I hear 1 September too, from a couple of different sources, but I don't know whether the Beeb have definitely confirmed it or not yet. I mean, if they haven't, why not, considering it's less than two weeks away now?
Eww, yeah, the Master scoffing the turkey in EoT...I'd tried to blot that out of my memory. Enough to put you off your third helping of Xmas pudding, it was...
I might be prepared to go as far as bonus points if they include a direct reference to *Invasion of the Dinosaurs*... ;D
I've scrutinised those trailers quite closely indeed, and the one thing I've yet to definitely see is the promised *Special Weapons Dalek* - anyone else had better luck with that?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the BBC have confirmed that it starts on the 1st in Britain and America and the 8th here (Australia). Yahoo! We only get it a week later!

Well, we'll be sure to keep any spoilers clearly marked/whited out for those who haven't been able to see the latest episodes...

But are they Matt Smiths glasses or the Doctor's? Was he reading the script or a letter?

Since he's really working it and then suddenly kind of stops when they yell cut, I'm pretty sure it's for the actual scene. It's the return of the brainy specs! He looks adorable with glasses! ^^

I am inclined to agree, but he DID take them off when he started really crying

I don't think I really want to see Eleven * crying. Brainy specs are great, but for me one of Eleven's USPs compared to Ten is his scary, passive-aggressive refusal to wallow in his own angst, or to wallow in it in a different way perhaps than Ten was wont to do - he prefers to start shouting at people, and I think that's illuminating of his character*. But maybe that's just me.

Sorry to double post (I will have a word with myself later, in my modly capacity), but I just snagged this from Livejournal, the BBC America trailer for the new series. It is very, VERY, spoilery, though, imho, so be warned. Seriously: www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNHEEZ_I74U&feature=youtu.beMost amusing thing about it, though, is the hilariously overblown voice-over. I wish we had those on our Who trailers over here. ;D One of the Youtube comments says that it's Mark Sheppard a.k.a. Canton Everett Delaware III, which if true makes it all the funnier...

It is difficult to wipe away tears while wearing glasses, LTL. Although the more I think about it now, I think Matt Smith does wear glasses like that IRL when reading scripts... IDK.
I agree about Eleven's character JJ, but I'm a sucker for that sort of thing anyway...

But you do still see him in moments like that, it's just rare. He did *almost* cry in the Big Bang

I'll give him a pass on that instance, because the speech (and the episode generally) was just that cool. ;D
