Well that was entertaining. I want to get one of those shirts with the Delorean crashing into the side of the Tardis...

Well, that amused me in several different ways at once. Ah, fond memories of watching Bill and Ted and Back to the Future back in the day... Apparently, McGann doesn't count in the eyes of whoever made this. ;D Thanks for the link, LL - it was a good'un.

The snub of Eight is nearly unforgivable, but ending that regeneration sequence with Sherman and Peabody was so much win that I forgave them.
Doesn't Eleven liking the DeLorean seem completely plausible?

Pretty much yeah to Eleven liking the DeLorean.
Unfortunately I don't know who Sherman and Peabody are... so that was rather lost on me...

A dog and his boy - the dog is the genius in this case, who go back in time to see various historic events, usually with puns and plays on words thrown in. I vaguely remember watching them on the telly when I was in grade school.

She used to run it on a TV station she worked for back in the day. You HAVE to watch some of the fast-paced Jay Ward "Rocky & Bullwinkle" cartoon show to catch the occassionally "Mr. Peabody and his boy Sherman" time-traveling features. Always ended on a BAD pun or mangled famous saying. This show defined sarcasism for an entire generation before Monty Python came about. There MUST be some examples on YouTube, somewhere....

Yes, you know that confronted with something like the DeLorean, Eleven would be jumping in, proclaiming it "cool" and possibly taking it for a test drive. I wonder where he got that car he was apparently driving in The Impossible Astronaut, and what happened to it. They should bring back Bessie, while I think on it. ;D

If Ten had driven Bessie out of the TARDIS in "The Idiot's Lantern" instead of that scooter it would have redeemed the silliness of the entire episode! I like to think that Bessie is parked somewhere in the bowels of the TARDIS . . . maybe it's just me.

Yeah, I agree. I was more disappointed with The Sontaran Stratagem - I mean, it featured UNIT (or their substandard modern-day imitators at any rate), the Brig even got a namecheck. If there was ever an opportunity to dust Bessie off, that was it.
I'm not entirely sure anything could redeem The Idiot's Lantern, but it couldn't have hurt. ;D

The one entertaining thing I realized some time after watching the idiot's lantern, is that The Wire, is basically Audry two from Little Shop of Horrors. Seriously, right down to the "Feed Me!" XD

I've resigned myself to being the sole fan of Idiot's Lantern and Fear Her on this forum, but Idiot's Lantern is my favourite of the two -
It's got a blue moped!
Ten's big hair!
Rose's dress!
King of Belgium!
Climbing the TV antennae!
;D

I did like the bit with the king of Belgium. Also, the end of the episode gives me the distinct feeling that Ten put off actually erasing the tape to spend more time with rose, and it's probably still laying around the Tardis, unerased...

Well, I found a collection of the Best of Mr. Peabody and Sherman Vol 1 on DVD for a song, on Amazon, and so I bought it. Mom and I watched the first 5 of 15 episodes and enjoyed it a lot. But we can't get the kids to sit down to watch even one. Sigh.... They just don't know what they're missing!
