So I finally found a reference to it on the CBC website, but no air date (that would be too convienent)
It was a bit disturbing since it refered to David Tennant as playing Dr. Who the titular title time lord. (I'm not even going to go into what's wrong with that statement!)
And had a quote from RTD about how this was going to be the BIGGEST! MOST EXPLOSIVE! Christmas special yet. It sent chills down my spine.
When will he learn that sfx and boom boom bangs a good story do not make?
Waits uneasily for Christmas...

It prolly won't be in the US until whenever they decided to air S4. We'll get it in the summer. x.x; It's supposed to be Super!Extra!Special!Long this year. a full 71 minutes.

A better look at the Axons new Christmas villains from the Beeb:

That doesn't look like an Axon at all. Nope. Not even a little bit...
Seriously though. I'm all for bringing back classic villains but the Axons were only around for one story... they aren't exactly classic. I want something new! Like the Krillitans, they were cool. Heck even the Slitheen were okay (well... in SJA they were okay, and if they came back to DW I don't think I'd mind so much). And the gasmask zombies = PURE COOL!
but yeah. Axons. huh.

They're probably like pilot fish or whatever it was they called the creepy robot Santas the previous two years, just a design change since three years of creepy Santas in a row is something not even RTD would do. That's what I think, at least.

Never underestimate RTD.
The Santas were for modern Christmas specials, this is the first one set in the past (relatively speaking, of course).
Rusty's only bringing them back 'cos the Doctor mentioned them in Last of the Time Lords and Who!newbies are curious as to what they are, but not curious enough to go watch Classic. That's, of course, assuming that actually are Axons.

True. Look at this: Axons Fendahl I think they look more like Fendahl than Axons, if they are a classic monster.

Okay, let's admit it. Who just likes spray-painting people various colours and calling them aliens.
Remember the blue plumber in End of the World?
And if that's what these Chirstmas monsters are then I'm perfectly satified. Cause painted people and random puppets beat CGI any day of the week

And the Swampies! And the grey people in Carnival of Monsters that I for some reason can't remember their names right now (but they annoyed the hell out of me with all their, 'One would assume that if one...' et cetera.) Yeah, painted people compared to Monster!Lazarus are made of Win.

looks like who is going back to its roots, with men in rubber suits, and painted faces, instead of going other places. A little poem

I like.
Those "other places" were getting a bit strange ^^

I was going to do a different ending to it but I couldn't think of a word that rymed with Cardiff.

I've heard a few people saying that it's going to be a re-make of Enlightenment. Hmm... That might be interesting.

Enlightenment was pretty awesome, but I'm not sure a remake would be such a good idea. For one thing, they don't have that amazingly scary woman to play the pirate captain.
Also, have you seen today's advent thing? There's a Bannakaffalatta, whatever that is.

I still haven't finished Enlightenment! I could only find the first episode. Dx Anyone know where I can find the rest? The awesomeness of a sailing!ship in space + Doctor Who makes my Age of Sail and Doctor Who obsessive mind explode!

The trailers look...intresting...knew it wasn't the proper titanic. AOS and DW the perfect combo.
