OK, w had the party last weekend, and I've got to say that it's probably not something I'll ever eat again.
It wasn't that horrible, but it wasn't particularly tasty.
I spent 45 minutes in Kroger's trying to figure out what best approximated "custard", having failed to look it up online before going to the store. I kept going back and forth between the yogurt isle and the pudding isle, changing my mind back and forth.
I had decided to get yogurt, and then I remembered that they mention yogurt in the scene, so I went to grab pudding. I wasn't happy with the selection of pudding however, so I delayed, and then I remembered one of the rare, bizarrely useful scraps of information I have managed to glean from two years of french class: Yogurt in Europe is not the same as yogurt in America.
So basically I went for vanilla yogurt.... The results were... Interesting...
Also, I'm never having tea again, ever. I officially loath the stuff. I tried it again at the party... Bleh! We did have legit tea biscuits though. ^^
We also had apples complete with smiling faces carved by yours truly, (with an alarmingly and overall wonderingly large knife, I might add.) As well as bred and butter. Unfortunately, we didn't get any bacon or beans, but It was OK.
We had loads of fun, and got Jeremy through season one of new who compressed into a single sitting, alas, by watching only the plot relevant highlight episodes.
And that's where I was instead of joining in on dwlive this last Saturday, sad to have missed it. Sunday though, I did get through "Mawdryn Undead" however. Lol, Turlough! XD I was terribly excited to see the Brigadier, I've missed him terribly. ^^
