Hello. +waves+
I'm happysquirrel (or Stacey in real life), I'm twenty-three and from Derbyshire, England. I've been a little obsessed with Doctor Who since it came back in 2005, I collect the dvds, books, audios, toys and anything else that catches my eye and have great fun doing it.
My favourite Doctor is Two with Eleven in second place, my favourite companion is Jamie with Donna second and Ian and Barbara joint third (because they cannot be seperated even in a list). My favourite characters overall are: the Doctor, Jamie, the Brigadier and the Master (especially Delgado and the End Of Time Simm.) My favourite story is The War Games.
So, umm, yup. That's me. Hello again. +waves+

Hullo Happy! Welcome to The Best Little DW forum on the net! I'm Merry and my favourite Doctors is all of them, though Four holds a special place in my heart as my first, and Ten holds a place as the Doctor who brought me back, and I ALSO have a soft spot for Six as he doesn't get enough love, and I am slowly falling into the Eleven fan as well, though I am OFFICIALLY a member of The Bowties Are Cool Club (and I am going to miss those elbow patches on his jacket dagnabbit!). Companions garsh! Umm I dislike MArtha, loads, just ask anyone, I dislike her nearly as much as I dislike Gatiss, lol. Actually, I quite like River Song, Donna Noble, Teagan Jovanka and Jamie McCrimmon.\
Seems to me you'll do just fine here as we are all nice, if a bit crackers, and recently obsessed with being undead, though before our lack of a pulse became our meme, it was cake...yeah and chains...so erm *clears throat* Nevermind, just have a look about and hope to see you on the boards!

Welcome, happysquirrel! A fellow Brit, I see!
And I hope you enjoy yourself here - it's a really friendly forum with a wide variety of Who fans with all sorts of different areas of interest. My favourite Doctor is Seven, especially when teamed up with Ace, with honourable mentions going to Four, Two and, well, all of the rest in no particular order. Eleven has pleasantly surprised me by being so good after I spent the year or so before that grumbling about the later Ten stories. Can't wait for Xmas!
So yes, welcome again and I hope you find lots here to enjoy. And don't let the talk of cake and chains scare you off... ;D

Welcome to DbyA HappySquirrel! You have eclectic tastes, and I like that about you. I like all versions of the Doctor, in slightly individualized ways. Poke around, make some posts, enjoy yourself, and guard your brain from rogue zombies.

Helloooo!
And, yes, never shall Ian and Barbara be separated. *nods*
Hope you have fun here. We are mostly friendly,a nd though we are eccentric and strange, it is in a good way.
(It is in a good way, everyone, isn't it? I mean nobody's disturbed by plots for world domination, rather large lobsters and cake, are they?)

+basks in the welcome+
Thanks all, you seem like a good bunch and there is nothing wrong with a bit of eccentricity, all the best people are eccentrics. And cake, chains and the undead? That sounds a winning combination if ever there was one.

Hey, welcome happysquirrel! You have good taste, if I may say so myself - I found myself nodding along through your list of favorites. Two and Eleven are two of my favorite Doctors, shortly followed by the rest of them.

Oh, hi, Happysquirrel! I'm glad you could join us. Now I'm not the newest person to come over from Outpost Gallifrey and join. = )

Outpost Gallifrey is too big for me, *sigh* I like to get to know people and be able to care about them, so this place is wonderful, anything larger tends to lead to fandom burnout anyway as the same arguments are constantly replayed with no party coming out ahead. When we do that here, well, we don't. There ARE areas we all disagree upon but none that come before the person with which we are disagreeing.

Really, are we talking about the same Outpost Gallifrey? 'Cause mine is just this little, kinda slow Guild on Gaiaonline. That's what I know Squirrel from.

Oh wow, the Gaia guild? If that's the same one I'm thinking of, that's where I filched the idea for Doctor vs Doctor from. I used to be super active on there... until someone hacked my account and it sort of lost all appeal.

Really? That's cool. I didn't know you were on there. Yeah, we have three Pairing vs Pairings going on right now. No Doctor vs Doctor at the moment, but the pairings one are pretty funny and getting well out of hand.

That place was all kinds of win. I do miss it sometimes. But I've only got room for one major forum and this place was always going to win.
(I'm going to continue shamelessly yoinking your game ideas though. I don't think we've done Pairing v Pairing... how would you even? THERE'S SO MANY! I am inrigued)

Pairing vs Pairing, oh that would be TOO much fun!!!!!!!!!!! And it would seem we are not, RtP, as the one I know of is UBER-huge...I'll have to see if I can dig up the link once Handy gets well again

Hey Nic! +was being incredibly inobservant and only just noticed you were here+
The guild may be small and slow but I do love it so. The pairing vs pairing threads do keep threatening to break out into war though.

(I'm going to continue shamelessly yoinking your game ideas though. I don't think we've done Pairing v Pairing... how would you even? THERE'S SO MANY! I am inrigued) I suppose you could take a list of Doctors and companions, shuffle it, and call each adjacent pair a pairing. So, just as a for-instance, one might end up with: - 8 /Jo
- Turlough / 9
- Dodo / Adam
- 2 / Ace
- 5 / Harry
- Vicki / Steven
- Jack / Amy
- Mel / Peri
- Zoe / Leela
- 1 / Ben
- Adric / Barbara
- Romana I / Susan
- 4 / Romana II
- 3 / 11
- Donna / 7
- 10 / Tegan
- Nyssa / Sarah Jane
- Jamie / Polly
- Ian / Rory
- Katarina / Martha
- Rose / Liz
- Victoria / 6
