Yo, I'm Nicolas Coay. Or just Nic, mostly. I'm a 19 year old college student living in Florida. I love Doctor Who, obviously. I started with Tom Baker, when I was really young. Didn't get much in to it at the time ('cause I was dumb.) It wasn't until I started watching re-runs of Sylvester McCoy that I started really getting in to it. Now I'm obsessed. Tom Baker (4) is my favorite Doctor, followed very closely by Three and Six. Oh, and Eight and The Valeyard. = ) Weird picks, but their mine. Jo Grant is my favorite companion, followed by The Brig, Tegan, Peri, and Romana. I love every companion, though, except Rose. My favorite Doctor Who character of all time is the Master. Ainley is my Master, followed by Delgado, but I love all of them, even Movie!Master. (But I hate John Simm.) I ship just about everyone in Doctor Who, but my main loves are Fifth Doctor/Ainley!Master, Four/Romana, Six/Peri, Three/Jo Grant, and Five/Tegan. My favorite monsters are the second Cybermen.

Welcome to DbyA Reversethe polarity! We aren't dead, just a bit slower than normal at the moment due to summer, and the fact that there aren't new episodes to discuss at the moment. You are the second person within a few days to call us dead though. We think at worst that we are undead, so beware the zombie brain munchers.

Greetings RVtP! Welcome home (as they say at Rainbow gatherings, and really, whovians are easily way cooler than rainbows). You've really found a place here with those favourites, I think you'll do just fine, mind Newton, she used to live with the Master, oooh and that LibraryLover is a real piece of work (wink, I joke everyone here is super nice). Can't wait to get posting with you!

Greetings RVTP! ;D ;D ;D I think you're going to fit in here nicely. Just remember that rumours of our death have been greatly exaggerated. We've got a giant archive of dead threads (which I hope you'll help us regenerate) we've also got the fifty most recent post button which will bring you to the live ones. I love you siggy (SO MUCH PRETTY), though, I've got to point out that the Master hears drums in The Time Monster, and I swear that's where Rusty nicked the idea from (doesn't make it any less naft though. lol)

Welcome, reversethepolarity! ;D
As the others have said, this is a great forum with a wide variety of different members and interests - all welcome, nobody excluded. I'm in Liverpool in the UK, a big fan of Seven and Ace (although I cannae bring myself to ship them - it'd be creepy). Big fan of Four, Two, the rest, Eleven, Doctors/Romana (my one vice! ;D Well, among my vices...). And don't listen to all this talk of cake and zombie brain-eating. We were just playing dead to avoid detection. Or something.
So welcome! And I look forward to seeing you about the place!

I adore both your icon and your username - you have wonderful taste in favorite companions, btw, so nice to have another person who appreciates the lovely and talented Jo Grant. Welcome! Go ahead and wander the previous posts, add to the lot, enjoy. Good people here, I think you'll like it.

Thanks for inviting me, Starflower. I'm really glad to have learned about this place. It seems custom made for me, much like TimeGate was. And thanks for the warning, Library. I've got a horde of Zombie Survival Guides, so I'll stock up and be prepared. = )
I'm glad to meet all of you. As for Library living with the Master, I am very jealous. = )
Thanks, Clocket. I love Eight, he makes Sigs just pop with all his excitement. And I forgot that. Heh. I suppose The Master can actually hear drums. Well, I feel silly. Maybe, in my canon, he has a weird deafness to only drums. = ) I've heard stranger things.
JJpor, I agree. I love Seven and Ace, but Seven/Ace is just... *shivers* Doctors/Romana, on the other hand, is much love.
Thanks, primsong. I love your icon, too. = ) Hey, do you have fanfics on WhoFic? Your name seems familiar. And I spent more hours than I'd like to admit to picking this name. I went through Techniclor Timecoat, TimeTraken, and much sillier names, if that's even possible. I have way too much free time. = )

Oh, and Random Question; is there a place for Big Finish discussions or Book discussions, or is that all just sort of lumped in with whichever Doctor or companion or what not your talking about in the Big Finish?

They are just in with whatever Doctor/Companion/Enemy you are talking about. If you are just talking about the overal story it is generally put in with the Doctor who's era the story takes place in.

Thanks, primsong. I love your icon, too. = ) Hey, do you have fanfics on WhoFic? Your name seems familiar. That I do - as do many of the other folks here, we've a fine lot of writers and they're quite talented, lost spook is "vvj5" on whofic, I think most of the rest have pretty much the same names there and here. Do you write? And if so, where and under what name?

Hello! I am, as Prim says, known as vvj5 elsewhere, but lostspook mostly. I was amused at your likings - you sound like a custom-made forum member for DbyA who have, by and large, the bad taste to favour Three a tad too much, over the other Splendid Chaps, and there's a fair bit of Doctor/Romana going on too. I like all of them, Seven and Two perhaps the most, but it's always a close thing, and I rarely ship anything seriously, unless it's Ian/Barbara and Ben/Polly who are never to be broken up, ever, on pain of me weeping a lot. ;D Hope you have fun here. If you do write fic, btw, you should be warned that it is actually obligatory for all new forum members to write fic that involves Naked!Ten wearing Three's cape, cake, and the Master and post it on Teaspoon. Ask anyone round here. It's true. If you don't do fic, you will be excused. We may be dead and eat brains, but we are civilised. Mostly.

Canon is as canon does and half the fun is coming up with your own complex and convoluted head!canon and then trying to foist it on the rest of fandom.
*coughs* DonnaisRomana *coughs*
Anyway, as everyone else has said, I think you're tailor-made for this forum. It's uncanny really. Are you sure you aren't some kind of Dalek-Auton-Clone-Infiltrator? lol
Anyway, proper introduction this time:
I'm Clocket, a 22 year old just-graduated Anthro major from Southern Ontario. I got into Who with Nine and haven't looked back since. I love all of the Doctor's, but Three, Seven, Nine, and Eleven seem to monopolize a lot of that love.
Especially Eleven. Lately...

Okay, thanks, Star. And thanks, Prim. I've read your work and love it. Snowbound is still one of my favorite stories. I do write fics, but I don't tend to publish them. Never really gotten up the nerve. Not to mention most of my work is about some pretty weird pairings; Delgado/Jo, Ainley/Tegan, Valeyard/Peri. I'm weird that way.
Good to meet you, Lostspook. I think I remember reading some of your work. You did the one about Six teaching Peri his companions and stuff, right? That one cracked me up big time. I'd always imagined that's how she knew all that stuff. And it's good to know I feel in among a crowd of Three lovers. There aren't enough out there, at least not on the sites I venture too.
Um... And I'm gonna go with 'I don't write fic.' Heh. Maybe I'll get up the nerve sometime, though. I don't really do NuWho, but I just might give it a shot. That's quite a humorous trademark for a site, I have to say.
This site's looking like my cup of tea. Three love, Romana/Doc fans, zombies, the whole nine yards. I'm quite glad I found out about it.
Clocket; Where in Time Monster does the Master here drums? I just rewatched it and couldn't find it. I must have been spacing out. Do you remember what part it was in? I may have been a bit too busy focusing on my Delgado love. = )
Anyway, great to meet you, Clocket. You've got a mighty fine Doctor list there. Much love to be had. As for Eleven, I quite agree. I find it unlikely any NuDoctor will ever make my top list, but Eleven's surprised me. I've been really liking him. All these little references to TradWho hasn't hurt, either. Eleven seems very much 'Doctor' to me.

Hello, and welcome!
I am Maggadin, 24 years old, from the Faroe Islands.
Your Doctor list is awesome. Four is my favourite Doctor, Doctor/Romana is my OTP, and Jo Grant is one of my favourite companions, and Three is awesome!

I mostly agree with this lot. Four is wonderful ( actually I spent most of this week watching the E Space trilogy again) though Doctor/TARDIS is my OTP ( a phrase I learned here, from Abby I believe) I certainly ship Doctor/Romana and Five/Teagan (and many others but I digress) at any rate, I like three a bit less than most others about here but mostly because I am contrary thing. I said above, and will say again, it seems you've found a place where you will fit right in and we are certainly glad for the company. What we may lack in size and heartbeat we more than make up for in personality and friendliness. DbA is a place where we can disagree with one another and not get mean, we can have heated debates (and we do) without worrying over alienating others (except me, I smite mightily all whose opinions differ from mine), we can SQUEEEE for hours on end and not be laughed at. I HIGHLY recommend you stop by DW live this Saturday if you have the chance it';s a great chance to really interact with everyone here while watching some really great Who (though bear in mind some of us ((me)) get chatty and others ((me and all the rest)) get a bit silly at times.
AS I have mentioned elsewhere my favorite Doctor is all of them, but a few have left larger than life impressions. Four and Seven HIGH among them. I too like Eleven but Clocket is dragging me into a scary territory there with her postings. Four was my first and I was so small he terrified me.
Companions, well, we could potentially go on and on forever without my being able to name the one I like best, however, Donna Noble, Teagan Jovanka, Jamie McCrimmon and Romana 1 are all high on the list of those I adore. I also have a list of those I don't adore and those I'd stand and wave at if they were falling off a cliff (really this is mostly in jest).
Also, never worry about wordy posts, we like those. Anyway, this long and babbly post has been written over a period of three hours ( I am a single mom and can't always sit about in front of the computer) and has already become incredibly disjointed so I shall cease now, can't wait to see you on the forum!

Hee, yes, I did write Companion Classes! ;D Aw, you shouldn't worry over the strangeness of your pairings. I mean, I'd not do Ainley/Tegan, because of my tendency towards Five/Tegan, but I'm pretty sure I've seen all of those in fics on Teaspoon as it is, so you wouldn't be alone. This is usually a good fandom rule. You could always find a kind beta first if you're nervous, but fics should be read. Yes, sorry, about the cake!fic thing, but I felt it only fair to warn you that it is one of our minor quirks round here. ;D I love Prim's fic very much - and Snowbound particularly for being such a great Delgado fic.

Never really gotten up the nerve. Not to mention most of my work is about some pretty weird pairings; Delgado/Jo, Ainley/Tegan, Valeyard/Peri. I'm weird that way. Those are great pairings! (especially Delgado/Jo, I intentionally search those out because their bickering is hilarious) And, given some of the weird pairings I've come up with, I'm not allowed to judge... Clocket; Where in Time Monster does the Master here drums? I just rewatched it and couldn't find it. I must have been spacing out. Do you remember what part it was in? I may have been a bit too busy focusing on my Delgado love. = ) It may be all in my head to be honest. But that bit when Chronos shows up and the incidental music is mad tribal drumming and the Master is just shouting at nothing... it's my head!canon anyways.
