So, I was watching Superman II the other night, which is wonderful eighties camp, and very confusing (especially the bit where Clark effective strands Lois at the North Pole in her night gown... what?) But the best part of the movie was undoubtedly this fellow (in the middle): Mr. General Zod. Does he not look like the evil love-child of Delgado!Master and Christopher Eccleston?? Even the walk was down right. He made me spend the whole movie wishing Nine could've been the Master instead of Simm... though that probably would have just confused the kiddies. ...no, seriously, I morphed them together and he totally is: ... actually, this picture proves that the morphing isn't even required: heh, beard.

I find this post strangely hypnotic.
It has been long established that evilness and style of facial hair are closely related. Inferno definitely comes to mind, which in turn leads to thoughts about magical (read: scientific) radiation-induced hair-gro treatments...
That manip really is frighteningly accurate. 0_o

"Kneel before Zod!!!" (Zod and Sutekh could have had some interesting times, together, I feel). And then there's that bit where the President goes "my God..." - "No, Zod..." Er...
Yes, that is frighteningly similar - and bearded Eccleston is scarily Masterly in his own right. It is indeed something about that sort of beard - a baddie's beard, if ever I saw one. I'm reminded of Evil Mr Spock too in that episode of Trek...

YOU WILL KNEEL BEFORE ME JOR-EL! YOU, AND YOUR HEIRS!
Yeah, definitely a very Master-like character. I would never have thought of CE as looking like Zod, but it is uncanny.

To be fair, the last thing I'd seen CE in previous to watching this was that dodgy G.I. Joe movie... so evil CE is a bit heavy on the brain (but damn, he does it so WELL)
and the Zod resemblance, as noted, is uncanny...

I'm still a bit too scared to speak coherently, that and I have not yet finished my first ccup of coffee but wanted to say I do agree it is uncanny

Uncanny?! It's uncannier than Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster getting abducted by aliens! To be fair, the last thing I'd seen CE in previous to watching this was that dodgy G.I. Joe movie... so evil CE is a bit heavy on the brain (but damn, he does it so WELL) Yes, but would his performance have benefitted from a Master-beard?? ;D

I rather like the beard - it suits him in some odd way... now they just need to dress him up in shiny black vinyl to top it off.
Now someone has to write a fic for Zod-is-the-Master, featuring Nine naturally. ;-)
