Pictures! I would love to see a who-designed-this-abomination.
The cake hat is perfect, bright yet tacky, functional yet cheesy, cheerful yet bizarre, the sort of heartfelt tribute a person would have to struggle to acknowledge gracefully. Yup, that suits the genre pretty well.
I suppose if you had the hypnotizing eyeballs on springs....hmmm.....

We actually have one of these hats at work. I haven't witnessed it yet myself, but apparently they used to make people wear the hat while people sang Happy Birthday. I have scheduled a vacation day for my birthday, just in case.

Okay, my quest to search Teaspoon for fics to rec on my sites continues with Four - and what do I find?
The very oldest Four fic on Teaspoon is something called The Cake of Finality.
*faints at the eerie coincidence*

You know, I keep thinking about Five cake!fic now Evelyn started that off. Sort of like this:
Tegan had her arms folded. "Let me get this straight - you've lost all your clothes but you've still got your celery?"
It shouldn't be possible for him to give her that wearily reproachful, I-thought-you-knew-better look when he was naked and (mercifully, for both their sakes), mostly submerged in carrot cake, but apparently it was. "Tegan."
"So. Dare I ask - why?"
He coughed. "It was the Master ..."
Tegan raised her eyebrows. "I really don't think I want to know."
"Didn't Turlough explain?" he snapped.
She paused. "Well, what other than telling me to get on and give you a hand while he went for the camera? I should have known."

Oh, that's so much better than what I've been thinking!
So far, everyone involved in the fic has lost at least part of their clothing (although the natives are exempt from this, and the Master mercifully remains clothed, but also gets a bit doused in some sort of sauce...)
I hadn't quite got it in me to return a stripped Five back to his crew in such a state, so I got him some trousers in the local village (friendly folks, when they're not out to pelt you with cake and kill you). And Three only loses his cape and jacket, because he looks dashing in ruffles...It's coming along!

...may be the best description of Four I've ever read.
