Your regular Doctor Who news roundup, brought to you by Brain!BleachTM!
SPOILERS POSSIBLY - IF YOU'VE BEEN LIVING IN A CAVE ON MARS FOR THE PAST YEAR! BUT SERIOUSLY...

Heheh - the Moff has learned well from RTD - talk it up, talk it up and then talk it up a bit more! He would say that, wouldn't he?
And don't worry, Steve - I don't think one man could "break" Doctor Who. You might get it taken off air for another sixteen years, I guess, but...

THIS:
![[image]](http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/46638000/jpg/_46638780_008198488-1.jpg)
is TERRIFYING. That may be the most frightening, most boogle-eyed picture I've ever seen, and jumping that on someone right under a link just isn't fair. He didn't load at first and then jut popped up while I was peacefully reading the article. That's heart attack material that is.
Now, I have to find it again, but I recently read a transcript where Moffat is all "Matt Smith is amazing. He has a really commanding presence, but it's not an ordinary kind of presence. I think you'll know what I mean the first time you see him on screen. He walks like a drunken giraffe. "

Can you all say LOL with me?

LOL
And yeah, that is a bit...disturbing, that pic. I mean, I find Tennant pretty scary in photographs as it is; his grin reminds me of Jack Nicholson in The Shining; but, yeah... I mean, his eyes are pointing in different directions...like a chameleon. Or Marty Feldman...

"He walks like a drunken giraffe." By sheer coincidence, this happens to be exactly the quality I'm looking for in a new Doctor!
The new Doctor is half my age. Kill me.

The new Doctor is only 4 years older than me...
but I'm not as concerned any more. Because they wanted an older guy. They interviewed for older guys. And then a drunk giraffe said "Hey, have you considered tweed?"
And they suddenly realized that giraffe + bow tie = Seasame street OR awesome sciFI.
They also suddenly realized that Clocket had forgot to sleep again and proceeded to ignore her.

And a drunken giraffe shall lead them.... And then a drunk giraffe said "Hey, have you considered tweed?" Isn't it always the way? I could tell you stories....
I must admit to having forgotten about the awesome drunken tweed sci-fi part of the equation, as well as the sleepy Clocket portion of said equation. Those who know of this portion of said equation would not ignore it. Well, maybe they would, I don't keep up with current events......

Anyone studying sleep-deprivation would do well to take note of my previous post, as it represents the next stage after Clocket's, where the subject (me) believes he is commenting ironically and cleverly on his sleep-deprivation, but is in reality totally at the mercy of it. This post being typed now is submitted as further evidence.

Insomnia is what you've got when you're trying to take notes in class but are having problems because the words are jumping all over the place. And then you realise that you've written a complete and functional sentence about frog legs and Superman.
Which would be fine and good, if you weren't trying to note down the name of Late Shield Culture settlement in the Rainy River area... head!desk.
Ah well, I'm in good company; someone out and out fell asleep last week. With snoring, drool, and everything. In a class of six people. Yeah.
What we learn from this tangent:
GIRAFFES ARE TOTALLY MY FAVOURITE ANIMAL, and just fantastically brilliant when drunk. Erm... I think I should go to sleep now.
